Today, a meeting was held at Abai University with Sulushash Nurmagambetova, Honored Artist of Kazakhstan, recipient of the Kurmet Order, Honorary Citizen of Almaty Region, and renowned singer. This year, the distinguished figure of Kazakh art is celebrating her 75th anniversary. In this regard, she performed soulful and melodious songs within the walls of the country’s leading university, presenting students with a true celebration of art.

A bright representative of Kazakh culture, Sulushash Kulzhabaykyzy has been performing on stage for more than half a century, earning the sincere love and warm appreciation of the people. Several generations of young people in Kazakhstan have grown up listening to the songs she performed. The university’s creative, art-loving community welcomed the singer with great respect and congratulated her on her юбилей. The meeting was attended by her contemporaries, friends, and prominent figures of the arts.

– Sulushash Nurmagambetova is a singer whose songs we have listened to since childhood. At a time when there was no internet or mobile phones, we chose her songs on television and radio and knew them by heart. Congratulating you on your honorable 75th anniversary, I wish you good health, well-being to your family, and continued creative success, – said Maksat Zhakau, Vice-Rector of Abai University for Social Development.

During the meeting, Sulushash Nurmagambetova performed the songs “Tugan Zher”, “Aman Bol Agalarym”, and “Oz Elim”. Sailaubay Toilybayev, a member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan and a poet, read poetic lines dedicated to the jubilee celebrant. The evening was further enriched by performances from bright stars of the pop stage – the duet Kairat and Zhuldyz, as well as Enlik Nurmagambetova.

– Today’s meeting in the walls of the main center of Kazakh education and science bearing the name of Abai is especially dear to me. This is my first meeting with young people as part of my 75th anniversary celebrations. I express my sincere gratitude to the university administration for organizing this creative evening. The future of our country is in the hands of educated, talented, and ambitious young people. Therefore, always strive for excellence in your studies and be diligent in your work, – said the jubilee honoree.

During the meeting, students asked the distinguished artist questions of interest and engaged in an open and heartfelt conversation about her creative journey. The university’s talented youth also performed artistic pieces and received the artist’s blessing.
