As part of the Year of Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence, Abai University hosted "Smart Teaching Talks," a speaker session in the TEDx format. This uniquely organized event focused on methods of implementing Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education and the pathways for digital transformation.

The primary goal of the "Smart Teaching Talks" session was to discuss modern approaches to the effective use of digitalization and AI technologies in the educational process, facilitate the exchange of experience, and enhance the digital competencies of education professionals. Experts from the fields of education, business, and technology delivered presentations that were met with great interest from faculty and students alike.

Opening the session, Banu Narbekova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, emphasized the strategic importance of digital transformation in improving the quality of education. Meirgul Alpysbayeva, National Education Specialist at the UNESCO Almaty Regional Office, spoke extensively about the ethical principles of using Artificial Intelligence. According to her, AI tools must be integrated into curricula with great care, as they significantly influence the cognitive development of children.

Joining the event online, certified business trainer Anar Sarsenova presented on "AI for Educators: Moving from Chaos to System." She shared insights from international practice and introduced the audience to methods of constructing academic prompt architectures. Following her, Nurken Musabayev, Vice-Rector for Digitalization, spoke on "Artificial Intelligence in Education," outlining the directions for automating the learning process, data analysis, and using AI in administrative decision-making.

Other skilled speakers shared their experiences in using AI and virtual laboratories, explaining the impact of digital tools on the quality of education. The second half of the session provided a space for professional dialogue, where participants took part in a quiz focused on the topic of Artificial Intelligence.
