Bolat Tilep, Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai University, received an official delegation from the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne (France) today. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral academic cooperation and expanding international partnership horizons.

The French delegation included Frédéric Castel, Deputy Director for International Relations at the INSPE Institute of the Academy of Reims, and Sophie Hourdin, Professor at the University of Reims Champagne-Ardenne.

Welcoming the guests, Rector Bolat Tilep emphasized that establishing partnerships with leading French higher education institutions provides a strategic impetus to the activities of Kazakhstan’s first university. He expressed a strong commitment to reaching a new level of excellence in educational and scientific exchange.

The meeting was also attended by Ainur Sabitova, Director of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute at Abai University, and Agnès Bousset, Coordinator for Double Degree Programs at the Embassy of France in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The parties discussed in detail the expansion of cooperation in teacher training, the development of joint educational programs in the French language, and the enhancement of student and faculty exchange within academic mobility frameworks. Furthermore, attention was given to the implementation of joint international projects, the continuation of delegation exchange practices, and the improvement of double-degree educational programs.

The participants expressed their commitment to strengthening the partnership at the institutional level and developing a systematic exchange of best practices. At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides reached a mutual agreement to further deepen international ties and elevate their strategic partnership to a new level.
