KAZAKHSTAN’S EDUCATION SYSTEM IN THE GLOBAL SPOTLIGHT

In the capital of the United Kingdom, London, Kazakhstan’s national pavilion was opened at the international exhibition “Bett UK 2026 – Leading EdTech.” This is a leading global platform where the future of world education and the role of artificial intelligence in learning are discussed. The delegation, headed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sayasat Nurbek, also includes the Vice-Rector for Digitalization of Abai University, Nurken Musabayev. The global exhibition showcased innovative achievements in digital transformation presented by the world’s leading universities.

The international exhibition, which attracts the attention of higher education institutions worldwide, sets the agenda for the EdTech market. Kazakhstan is not merely an observer in this process but has become a full-fledged participant. The national pavilion made it possible to demonstrate the development of the country’s higher and postgraduate education system. Projects aimed at digitalizing the educational process, implementing artificial intelligence solutions, advancing science, and expanding international cooperation were presented on the global stage.

Nine universities and educational organizations from Kazakhstan are participating in the pavilion’s activities. Higher education institutions are presenting their academic programs, research projects, and joint initiatives with international partners. This demonstrates the maturity of the ecosystem within domestic universities and their readiness for deeper integration into the global educational space.

The Vice-Rector for Digitalization of Abai University, Nurken Birzhanuly, who took part in the exhibition dedicated to digitalization projects and the implementation of artificial intelligence tools in global education, noted that he held business meetings with representatives of international digital technology companies and exchanged professional experience.

– The international exhibition allows us to see what innovative technologies are being implemented abroad. Their impact on improving the quality of education and their operational efficiency is significant. This exhibition has provided us with excellent opportunities to exchange experience with foreign universities and companies, — said the vice-rector.

In addition, meetings in various areas were organized with representatives of leading universities, research centers, and technology companies during the exhibition. It is no exaggeration to say that global interest in Kazakhstan’s education system is high. Foreign partners are particularly interested in the scale of domestic reforms and the systematic experience of integrating artificial intelligence into the education system.

Within the framework of the exhibition, plenary sessions, thematic discussions, and presentations of leading EdTech developments are being held. Business meetings between government agencies, universities, and technology companies are also planned.
