LEADERSHIP OF NAZARBAYEV UNIVERSITY VISITS ABAI UNIVERSITY
Today, a meeting with the leadership of Nazarbayev
University was held at Abai University. The two leading higher education
institutions of the country agreed to comprehensively strengthen strategic
partnership as well as cooperation in the fields of education and science.
The meeting was attended by President of Nazarbayev University Ahmad Wakar, provost Rehan Sadyk, and еxecutive Vice-President Aslan
Sаrinzhipov. The parties discussed issues related to the development of the
higher education system, training of in-demand specialists, and modernization
of educational programs in line with international standards.
Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical
University Bolat Tilep highlighted the university’s scientific potential and
strategic development priorities, spoke about cooperation with leading
universities worldwide, and noted achievements in international rankings. He
also presented academic educational programs and the faculty, outlining key
objectives planned for the near future.
President of Nazarbayev University Ahmad Wakar expressed his deep respect
for Abai University’s long-standing experience in the higher education system
and its well-established scientific school in teacher education. He also shared
information about Nazarbayev University’s innovative projects and cutting-edge
technological achievements in scientific research, emphasizing the importance
of mutual exchange of experience for the development strategies of both leading
universities.
During the bilateral meeting, issues related to the implementation of joint
projects aimed at enhancing the professional qualifications of faculty members
were discussed. In the era of global technological transformation, the
professionalism of educators plays a crucial role in preparing highly demanded
specialists. Therefore, the parties considered opportunities to enhance the
professionalism of the academic and pedagogical community in accordance with
international standards, as well as to introduce modular and research-based
educational practices. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed
their readiness to further develop cooperation between the two universities.
The meeting is expected to contribute significantly to elevating the
national higher education system to the international level, strengthening the
integration of science and education, and increasing intellectual potential.
The parties agreed to gradually implement joint projects and establish a
sustainable professional dialogue.
