Today, a TOP-time seminar titled “The Use of Artificial Intelligence in Preparing Scientific Articles” was held at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. The event took place as part of the Science Decade under the theme “Digital Breakthrough in Science: The Era of Artificial Intelligence.”

The seminar was opened by Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Yertai Sultan and Director of the Department of Science Marfuga Absatova.

During the seminar, Professor-Researcher of Meta University, PhD, Associate Professor Musa Turdalyuly, along with R&D HUB Director Kanat Orazaliyev, delivered lectures and provided valuable insights to the participants.

Kanat Orazaliyev elaborated on the key stages of writing a scientific article. In particular, he covered planning, topic selection, establishing communication with international scholars, editing AI-generated texts, verifying journals indexed in the Scopus database, and identifying predatory publications.

He also explained the specifics of prompt writing and demonstrated the capabilities of the NotebookLM artificial intelligence tool in practice. According to the speaker, developing high-quality prompts requires strong logical thinking skills, which can be enhanced by reading more scientific articles on the research topic.

It was also emphasized that when using artificial intelligence in scientific research, it is essential to adhere to the principles of academic integrity and apply these technologies competently and effectively.

The seminar was held in an open Q&A format, allowing participants to receive answers to their questions.

At the end of the event, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University Yertai Sultan expressed gratitude to the speakers for their informative and practice-oriented presentations and presented them with letters of appreciation.
