MEMORANDUM SIGNED WITH THE ESİK MUSEUM-RESERVE

A memorandum of cooperation has been signed between Abai University and the Esik State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve. The main goal of the bilateral agreement is to strengthen cooperation in the fields of scientific research, education, and tourism, as well as to improve the professional skills of students and young scholars of the Faculty of History.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai KazNPU Bolat Anapiyauly and the Director of the Esik Museum-Reserve Azimbek Serikuly discussed future plans within the framework of the memorandum. The parties agreed to carry out comprehensive work on studying the historical features of the Esik complex, organizing joint scientific projects and archaeological expeditions, and exchanging professional experience between specialists. Special lectures, seminar-trainings, and exhibitions on historical topics were also discussed.

This partnership is expected to give new momentum to the development of cultural, educational, and ecological tourism. One of the key areas of cooperation will include organizing tourist trips with students studying history, preparing informational and educational materials, and publishing scientific articles and methodological manuals. Bolat Anapiyauly also expressed interest in organizing joint events dedicated to important dates and in professional development programs for staff.

This cooperation will allow students of the Faculty of History and Law to combine theoretical knowledge with practice, including undertaking internships at the Esik State Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve and directly participating in field research.

Establishing cooperation with this sacred site—where the famous “Golden Man” was discovered and which was founded within the framework of the strategic national project “Cultural Heritage”—will undoubtedly become an important step not only for strengthening the university’s scientific potential but also for training highly qualified specialists.
