ISSUES OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION DISCUSSED

Today, the Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Bolat Tilep, received the Director of the international educational organization GLEN. The main purpose of the meeting was to expand international cooperation and implement joint projects. The parties discussed issues related to academic exchange and the launch of dual-degree educational programs. An agreement was reached to establish partnerships with leading Chinese universities and to jointly contribute to the development of higher education.

 

The Director General of the international organization GLEN, Qiao Hanbo, expressed his interest in strengthening interstate cooperation between Kazakhstan and China through close collaboration with universities. He proposed initiatives aimed at developing cooperation in the field of teacher education, academic exchange, and joint educational programs.

 

The organization’s director noted that cooperation in the field of education has significantly increased in recent years. He emphasized that GLEN maintains close ties with higher education institutions in Kazakhstan and hosted an international forum in his country last year. Prospects for launching joint scientific projects and educational programs with Abai University were also discussed, along with the systematic regulation of visa issues for students.

 

Chairman of the Board – Rector Bolat Tilep welcomed the proposed initiatives and expressed his support for joint cooperation. He highlighted that Abai University has departments of Chinese language and Chinese studies, and that academic mobility programs provide ample opportunities for experience exchange. He also confirmed the university’s readiness to further discuss joint educational programs and develop bilateral cooperation.

 

In his remarks, Director Qiao Hanbo proposed considering opportunities for Chinese faculty members and students to pursue professional development at Kazakhstan’s leading pedagogical university. As a result of the meeting, both sides agreed to strengthen bilateral cooperation and implement joint projects.
