Today, the Open House Week for prospective students at Abai University came to an end. The large-scale event, held from April 23 to 29, brought together around one thousand applicants from Almaty city and regional districts, giving them an opportunity to explore university life.

Throughout the week, each faculty organized special presentations showcasing educational programs and opportunities in detail. The closing session featured a faculty fair, where applicants received comprehensive information about their chosen fields of study.

During the opening ceremony, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Banu Narbekova warmly welcomed the applicants and congratulated the participants of the Open House. In her speech, she noted that more than 20,000 students are currently studying at the university and highlighted its strong positions in international rankings. Banu Mukhataikyzy expressed confidence that applicants would choose Abai University, emphasizing that its educational programs meet modern standards and offer extensive opportunities for students. She also noted the strengthening of international cooperation and the availability of new opportunities for gaining knowledge and experience.

Ruslan Toktarbekuly, Advisor to the Minister of Science and Higher Education, who attended the event, wished the applicants success and stressed the importance of education. During the meeting, UNT expert Farkhat Sultabayev shared effective strategies for passing the national test.

– To successfully pass the test, I recommend using a three-stage strategy. First, start with the easiest questions. Then, analyze the test and work on mistakes. Finally, conduct an analytical review of each test and improve your skills through repeated practice, – the expert noted.

During the event, Gulzhakhan Imankhatova, Director of the Almaty Regional Educational Development Center, emphasized the importance of this event for applicants. In addition, university alumnus and People’s Artist of Kazakhstan Ramazan Stamgaziyev wished the young participants success and performed the folk song “Gakku,” receiving a warm response from the audience.

As part of the event, third-year students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography presented an experimental show titled “Chemistry – A Fascinating World,” demonstrating the exciting aspects of science. Students of the Department of Physical Education showcased their skills in jiu-jitsu. Additionally, Abai University students Nurshapagat Saulet and Omirzak Amir performed the song “Abaiymnan Tapkanym,” adding a special atmosphere to the evening.

At the end of the event, a quiz was organized among the applicants, and active participants received special branded gifts. The Open House Week provided applicants with a great opportunity to get acquainted with university life and make informed decisions about their future careers.
