THE HORIZONS OF INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION ARE EXPANDING

Today, a meeting was held at Abai University with members of a delegation from the Republic of Lithuania. The event was attended by representatives of the Consulate General of the Republic of Lithuania, as well as the leadership of Vytautas Magnus University and Abai University.

During the meeting, the parties discussed key areas in the higher education system and explored opportunities to elevate cooperation to a new level. Particular attention was paid to improving knowledge exchange processes, implementing joint research projects, and developing academic mobility for faculty and students.

As part of the meeting, the potential of both universities was presented, and educational programs, research activities, and international cooperation experience were widely discussed. Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Bolat Tilep, delivered a speech, noting that the development of partnerships is one of the university’s strategic priorities.

– For Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, the development of international cooperation is one of the key strategic priorities. In the near future, our university will celebrate its 100th anniversary. At such a historic moment, strengthening ties with foreign universities is especially important. This step opens up opportunities for exchanging experience, implementing scientific projects, improving educational programs, and developing academic mobility, – said the rector.

During the negotiations, there was a meaningful exchange of views on the introduction of digital technologies and artificial intelligence into the educational process, the adoption of innovative approaches, and the coordination of scientific research. These initiatives clearly demonstrated both sides’ commitment to modernizing the higher education landscape.

Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Finance of Vytautas Magnus University, Astrida Miseikiene, emphasized that this meeting would contribute to the implementation of long-term projects in higher education.

– We have come here to establish partnerships, exchange experience, and launch new collective initiatives in the fields of education, science, and innovation. I am confident that cooperation between our universities will go beyond formal interaction and develop into a long-term partnership based on mutual understanding and trust, – noted the foreign vice-rector.

In addition, the discussion addressed strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties, developing joint educational programs, and organizing international scientific conferences and internships. The need to build a promising partnership focused on shared interests was also highlighted.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reached agreements on cooperation and expressed their intention to implement concrete projects in the future. This initiative will help elevate cooperation in education and science between the two countries to a new level.
