DELEGATION OF ABAI UNIVERSITY HELD OFFICIAL MEETINGS IN CHINA

On April 12-13, a delegation from Abai University, on an official visit to China, held formal meetings at Qingdao Preschool Education College. The purpose of the meetings was to strengthen strategic partnership in education and science, as well as to develop academic exchange and joint projects.

During the official meetings that began the previous day, representatives of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University met with the Internet Information Office of Qingdao (People’s Republic of China), the Shanghai Cooperation Organization committee, and representatives of the college. The parties discussed cooperation between China and Central Asia, as well as collaboration in digital economy, cross-border data, and education within the framework of the “Belt and Road Initiative.” As a result, an agreement was reached to hold an international seminar in Almaty on these topics.

Today, during a meeting at Qingdao Preschool Education College, the rector of the institution, Fu Rongyun, and the head of the Abai University delegation, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Banu Narbekova, held bilateral negotiations. The parties discussed the establishment of a joint international institute, the creation of an alliance in pedagogical education, the promotion of vocational education abroad, and student exchange.

In addition, the university delegation met with master’s students of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University who are currently undertaking scientific internships at the college.

As part of the visit, the delegation toured the campus of the Chinese university, including the practical training base of the preschool education faculty, the information networks center, the international industrial institute of languages based on artificial intelligence, the “Smart Cultural Tourism” training and production base, and practical training sites of various faculties. They also participated in a practical presentation at the tea art training and demonstration center and held bilateral discussions.
