Bretton Woods Fund Library Opened in Almaty

A unique collection of books from the Bretton Woods Foundation is now available to students in Almaty, 24KZ reports.
More than 2,000 rare editions have been added to the library of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai.
These are manuscripts and archival materials of the world's leading scientists and Nobel laureates in English, German and French. The collection was personally handed over to the Kazakh university by the founder of the foundation, Mark Yuzan.
The rector of the university, Bolat Tlep, emphasized that the main mission of the library is to support the development of science and provide rare resources to young researchers not only in Kazakhstan, but throughout Central Asia.
Bolat Tlep, rector of KazNPU named after Abai: - The main value of these books is their authorship. These are world-famous economists, lawyers, sociologists, whose works have been published over the past 2-3 years. Currently, the total collection of the library of our university is 1 million 700 thousand books. We are systematically working to replenish it with modern publications. Today, the first step has been taken in this direction.
Marc Uzan, CEO and founder of the Reinventing Bretton Woods Foundation /France/: - Most of the books are about global finance, world governments, history, science fiction. I started collecting them when I was still a student in France and the United States. I hope that students will find these books useful for their studies and that they use them for their work.
