Chairman of the Board – Rector of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Bolat Tilep, held a meeting with students focused on legal issues. During the event, participants discussed the draft of the new Constitution submitted for nationwide public discussion, as well as initiatives within the framework of the principles “Adal Azamat” (“Honest Citizen”) and “Law and Order.” Particular attention was paid to issues related to students’ social welfare and academic integrity.

Addressing the students, the Rector emphasized the importance of constitutional reforms for the country’s development and highlighted the need for active youth participation in socio-political processes. According to him, the Constitution is the key document defining the foundations of the state; therefore, every citizen should understand its significance and approach the future with a sense of responsibility.

“The Constitution is not merely a collection of laws, but a strategic guideline that shapes the future of the nation. Decisions made today will affect the lives of future generations. For this reason, it is crucial that young people do not remain indifferent to these issues,” Bolat Anapiyauly noted.

The meeting was held in an open-dialogue format, allowing students to freely express their views and ask questions. Alongside legal topics, a wide range of issues of concern to young people were discussed, including the development of digital literacy, adherence to the principles of academic integrity, the quality of education, and students’ social conditions.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Board underscored the special role of Abai University as the country’s first higher education institution and highlighted its contribution to the training of pedagogical professionals and the development of the nation’s intellectual potential. He also reminded students that they are studying on the eve of the university’s centennial anniversary, which places a particular responsibility on the future generation of specialists.

In addition, the Rector spoke about the support measures provided for students at the university, emphasizing that students’ proposals and initiatives are always given due consideration by the administration. He also placed special emphasis on the importance of a responsible approach to modern technologies, including artificial intelligence.

Participants of the meeting had the opportunity to raise questions of concern and share their suggestions regarding the academic process. Through open discussion, students received clear and comprehensive responses from the university leadership.
